How to add a custom AAAA record to a domain/subdomain

This movie will demonstrate how to easily add a custom AAAA record to your domain or subdomain through your Control Panel.

How to add a custom AAAA record to your domain or subdomain - overview


1. First you should log into your web hosting Control Panel. To do that, click on the Control Panel log-in link in the top right corner. Then input the username and password of your personal web hosting account and hit the 'login' button to be sent straight to your Control Panel.

2. The second step is to navigate to the Custom NS Records section. To open that section, click on the Custom DNS Records icon located in the Site Management section.

3. The final step is to add a custom AAAA record to your selected host.

3.1. In the DNS Records section - select the host you need to add a custom AAAA record for from the Hostname drop-down menu.

3.2. Then select 'AAAA' from the 'Type' drop-down menu.

3.3. Type the necessary IPv6 address value in the 'Value' field.

3.4. Set your custom TTL value in the TTL field or leave the default one.

3.5. Then click the 'Add New' button to add your custom AAAA record. Confirm this by hitting OK in the pop-up message.

The green confirmation message will show you that the AAAA record registration has been completed successfully.
