How to export a PgSQL database dump file using phpPgAdmin - overview


1. First, log into your web hosting Control Panel. To do this, click the Control Panel login link in the upper right corner and enter your account's username and password in the Members Area Login form. Then push the 'Login' button to go straight to your Control Panel.

2. Once in the Control Panel, click on the PostgreSQL Databases icon to open the PostgreSQL Databases section.

3. In the PostgreSQL Databases interface click the table listing your databases and open the phpPgAdmin tool. You can do this by clicking on your database name or on the phpPgAdmin icon.

3.1. Once in the PostgreSQL Databases management tool, click on the name of your PostgreSQL database and then press the 'Export' tab menu button.

3.2. Next select the format and then the method in which you wish to have your PostgreSQL database exported and click on the 'Export' button to create your dump/backup file.

3.3. Save the dump/backup file on your computer by selecting 'Save File' from the pop-up window.
