Recent Web Hosting NewsTo the attention of all our customers! New update has been made to our web hosting system. This time it concerns the Domain Manager that comes included in your Web Hosting Control Panels for management of your domain names. The update affected the domain status field, which is now showing correct and up-to-date information about the current status of each of your domain names. Furthermore, four new statuses have been added to give you better orientation about the period in which an expired domain name of yours falls into and the options that you have for retrieving it.

The four new statuses will be displayed again with type icons, opening tooltips with detailed explanation about each of them. From the Expiration/Renewal column of the Domain Manager you will be also able to open additional tooltips providing options for according domain action.

Domain statuses overview:
Redemption period - a period of up to 30 days after a domain name's expiration. The good thing about this period is that during it the domain name owner can easily retrieve the domain name from deletion and renew it against a small redemption fee. In such cases, automatic renewal option will be displayed in the Domain Manager's Expiration/Renewal field. In calculating the final price of the domain's renewal, however, a redemption fee will be added to its renewal price. If you want to take advantage of this option, you need to open a tooltip of the domain name in RGP (Redemption Grace Period) from the Expiration/Renewal column of the Domain Manager. There will be displayed the option to retrieve the domain name and renew it.

Extended redemption period - a grace period of another 7 - 30 days when the domain name can be retrieved from deletion and renewed. In this period however you cannot renew the domain name automatically, you need to contact our supports team and send to them your renewal request. 'Open support ticket' option will be displayed in the domain's tooltip opened from the Expiration/Renewal column of the Domain Manager.

Pending delete period - now this period is displayed entirely for your information, since no action can be taken during it. It only shows that the domain has been blocked by its Registry and will be returned in 3 - 5 days back into the public pool of domain names. However, if you really need to renew this domain name, this is a good notification that can help you prepare for the next period.
Released from registry - this status shows that the domain name has been released for public registration. Now this is the time when you have to act very quickly and get your domain name back. An option will be provided in the respective Expiration/Renewal Domain Manager field with registration of the domain name preserving its old WHOIS information. You can take advantage of this opportunity and newly register the domain name. If, however, the domain name has been already taken, do not fall down, an option with a new domain name registration will be also available for you.

We hope that our newest Domain Manager update will turn quite useful for you and will make the management of your domain names even easier. Enjoy your web hosting experience with NTC Hosting and expect more interesting introductions coming soon!
