How to create and edit a file or folder from your Control Panel

1. First you will need to log into your web hosting Control Panel. To do this, use the login link in the upper right corner of the screen. Next enter your account login details in the Members Area login form. First is your username and then your password. Click the Login button to proceed.

2. Once in the Control Panel, click on the File Manager icon located in the Site Management section. This will take you to the File Manager panel where you can edit and change your files and folders stored in your web hosting account.

3. Next you will see how to create files and folders and check the supported file/folder manipulation options.

Type the name of the file or folder that you want to create in the Create New File/Folder field. Then select empty folder if you wish to create a folder, or empty file if you wish to create a file. Press the Create button to complete the procedure.

4. Click on the new file/folder name to open a tool-tip displaying a selection of different actions and settings. For example, you can rename your file or folder. To do that - select Rename from the Actions drop-down menu and specify its new name in the Enter path or name field. Next press the Rename button to apply the new name to your folder.

Now you know how to create a new folder through the File Manager.
