How to create an FTP account using the FTP Manager tool - Overview

The FTP account creation procedure is comprised of a few simple steps.

1.First off, you will need to log into your web hosting Control Panel. To log in - use the Control Panel login link in the upper right corner of the screen. Next introduce your web hosting account login credentials in the Members Area login form - your username and your password, and hit the Login button to proceed.
2.Once in the Control Panel - go and click the FTP Manager icon located in the upper right corner of the Site Management section.

3.Once in the FTP Manager look at the 'create FTP account form'.

3.1. First you need to specify your new FTP account username in the Username field. It must contain the hostname, which you can select from the drop down list on the right.
3.2. Next type and re-type your FTP account password in the two consecutive password fields.

3.3. Then specify the Access Path for your FTP account. To select it directly from a list - click the browse button on the right. From the pop-up window - select the path you wish your FTP account to be assigned to.

3.4. To create your new FTP account, click the 'Add FTP Account' button.

You will see your newly created FTP account listed in the table of existing FTP accounts and you can check its basic details - the username and the Access Path.

That's it! Now you know how to create an FTP account from your Control Panel in a few clicks.
